As a diver you're supposed to know how gear works before you use it on a dive. It's hardly a gear issue.
Agree, but you do have a propensity to be borderline rude to people that dare not to agree with you. Trigon problems were caused by people flushing with high pressure. It ain't the gear problem.
So, far I have used my Trigon around 70 times, no problems. Am I just one of the lucky ones too?

Oh my gosh... how can it be that we ALL hit the lottery?!?!? It's a miracle 🤣🤣🤣

I know you don't like to hear this but 70 dives is not a lot.
I rather use gear with no unnecessary failure points, especially when the failure point have no function... other than being a marketing gimmick.
I said what makes unbalanced objectively better and most of the experienced cave divers I know also use unbalanced valves... I gues they also don't know what you and rob have figured out.

I just tried give @piranhaman00 my advice that's based on 25 years of diving dry experience. He can take it or leave. I don't wanna argue again with people that love and just wanna defend their gear choice without understanding how other gear even works.

@piranhaman00 there are at least 3 of us in this thread with 100's of hours combined on the Trigon without issue. I guess we're all "lucky". If you go that route I'm sure you'll get "lucky" too, lol🙄.
That's like saying 'I never needed bailout for my rebreather in 100 dives so I guess I'll never need it'.

I pick gear with no failure points. Some issue might occur 50 dive in or +500 dives in. That doesn't mean I ignore it. If you're only doing NDL it doesn't really matter. If you doing deco and/or cave dives it's better to actually think about why to pick what and don't just base it on a couple 100 dives experience.

Whatever, I tried to give some imput, you think know better.

@lexvil What's the advantage in using a balanced valve?

Trigon needs a huge hole (no can't be changed for another one), can't be closed in case of an issue, can't be modified and has the worst track record.
If it was 100% relibablable for you have either not used it a lot or got lucky.
It’s 100% so changing it with the big hole is irrelevant, I have it on 3 suits, have you used it?

@lexvil What's the advantage in using a balanced valve? I've answerd a lot of questions. Why are you and the other trigon fans keep dogding my one question?

@piranhaman00 ignore berndo. He has an unusual ability to know everything and his opinion is the only right answer. He's a classic idiot and will shout down everyone trying to prove an opinion about gear...
It's rich comming from a guy who in another thread bragged about how he threatens people on the street with his gun.

I explained my opion and get attacked for it.

Here are the parts of a trigon

the same mushroom valves that you have on the exhaust side of any regulator, it has the same limitations as a regulator, if the valve is fouled with something it can leak, double mushrooms on the outside and a single on the inside balancing side.
if you breath underwater with a regulator you have more of a chance of failure of your exhaust valve due to cycles than you do of this valve.

Other than the same advantage afforded of trying to urinate while pinching the head of your urination system closed no advantage, also no disadvantage, it’s easy to make the trigon unbalanced just seal to two tiny internal holes.

@lexvil Why can't you just tell what's the advantage in using a balanced valve? It's a straight up question. Why not just answer?

Thanks for some great advice.

Sorry for bringing up the pee valve. Reminds me of some people on my reef forum. Why not just ignore ? :)
