That looks worse than I expected. What's the point of putting a cigarette in the wound?

After that bite and all the sowing, I think he went for two fisted drinking for pain control. Cig had to go somewhere.....

I do have a pic of a Bull down south on Palancar.

Roofer,

Were you wearing a wet suit? I am curious if, in this instance, a wet suit would have been torn instead you you.

Roofer, it's time to start working on a better story to go with the scar.

I am sorry, better than "I got attacked by shark and it took 102 stitches, but what really pissed me off is it ALMOST made me spill my margarita"?

I would ALMOST take a shark bite to tell that story.

That is a good question.

Dang it, I never wear a wetsuit....

Seriously. That is one seriously good story to tell.

For all the early reports of not that bad, "nurse shark attack"- it looks a lot worse than I expected: but if you are going to be attacked by what was maybe a bull, I think that is what you'd want it to end up looking like! That is really scary. Did someone tell the shark bulls go on the other side of the channel!

Some people don't recognize the puss drain, but I guess they didn't read the other comments identifying it either. :idk:

Does anyone ever wear a wet suit wading at a beach club holding a drink?
Ok, besides me. Covering fat is easier than losing it, so I wear a 1 mil shorty wading.

That is an awful image, thanks for the spoiler.:D

I thought if you were there snorkeling you might be wearing a wetsuit.

That is a Mexican fluid drain. Doctor cut it of long piece of tubing in closet where suppllies are. I watched the hole thing as we talked. Really the worse part of it was the long needle and the # of shots he gave me in my belly. They do have good morphine there, makes for a couple nights of cool dreams.Takes me back to younger days. Drain does look like a cig butt and I dont smoke, hate it. Its just the blood that makes it look that way.

Im sure for at least my situation a wet suit would have helped alot, but who wears a wet suit to the beach?

Roofer-------just saw the pic you posted of bite right after it happened(?while still @ beach)....DANG....I was dead wrong about it being more an abrasion vs a bite.......Sorry it happened & glad you're now doing well....The lesson I learned is do your jet-time-killin' around the pool.......:).....good luck...and----switch to filtered ones..lol
