Scubapro employee said it would be available in May. Price is around 669 Euro.
So $725 for us in the US? Why would anyone purchase this over a DSS rig for $460?

(Sorry tbone I did not see your last post, I missed the second page of the thread. I'm still getting used to the new forum)

I must admit, normally price is not a driver for me, its a case of do I want it or not.... but I think at over $700 that is quite expensive. Still it does look good, so I will still go and have a play with one when they hit the local shops.

But maybe this has dropped off my shopping list, I was always of thinking of going to a BP/W config anyway and I guess I was hoping this would be some type of hybrid crossover, but its clearly not from the photos, comments.

For the same reason there are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of other brand BC's are sold and not DSS cheap rigs. And just the same that people prefer to buy Mercedes, BMW, etc. over Kia and ToyoAuto.

you're a piece of work comparing Scubapro to Merc/BMW and DSS to Kia/Toyota.... That's absolutely spectacular since you have it completely backwards.....

You are so thick you don't understand the analogy here and you can't even quote right.

SP is Rolls-Royce when compared to DSS.

DSS ain't no "Toyota"!!! I said: "ToyoAuto"!!! It is a cheap Chinese knockoff of Toyota.

BTW, DSS Wings are a piece of crap. Their backplates and harnesses are nothing special at all and you can get better deals than their backplates if price is your only consideration.

You have NO idea of the BP/W options available in Europe that are also CE certified and miles ahead of DSS.
How can another backplate and wing be miles ahead? The whole idea behind a backplate and wing is efficiency through simplicity, and DSS products are made simple, and durable, I and lots of others I know have lots of cold water dives on our DSS wings , and I'm 100% confident it is not a piece of equipment I'll ever need to replace....you sound like someone who has a personal grudge against Tobin, he is a guy who tells things rather bluntly and probably pissed you off, but bashing his equipment is pure Rubbish

I don't get the sense burhan has a personal axe to grind against DSS. he just sounds like another scared LDS owner that is seeing his sales of neon colored scuba gear with 100% markup dwindle due to the ease of finding info about and ordering scuba gear through the internet these days.
