I stopped by a Walgreens store again today hoping to find Wal-Act-D available, their label for the old Actifed formula. They used to carry it in red & white box.

They had recently relabeled it in a blue box with a vague name change...

No luck on my second try this week. They may have discontinued it, but they still carry several other labels and formulas with varying antihistamines. I got a box of this, and the price was nice at $5.99 for 48....

I'll be in Lubbock again on the 22nd and try one more time on the blue box. If not available, I'll probably get another green box which will max me out until Dec 6. I like to keep plenty on hand in case of future supply issues, but not more than six boxes. I've heard that there is a 300 count max allowed which may or may not be true, but I'm not risking more.

The baffling thing to me about Tramodol being such a banned substance, is that I found it to be completely ineffective in any way.

I can’t read the first photo but going by the two others, the name change is because the antihistamine is different. Anyone not accustomed to these be cautious. They are first generation antihistamines and so considered sedative. In fact, some people use them as a sleep aid.

When Tramadol first hit the US it was not considered an opiate and so not controlled and was available in a combined pill with acetaminophen. But people being people of course they managed to abuse it so it went controlled in 2014 and dosed without the added Tylenol.

I found it helpful on a prn bases (I also usually take it with Ibu) but at a recent conference the speakers suggested it is more effective when used for chronic pain.

I have taken Zyrtec-D for years. It’s suddenly out of stock everywhere, both name brand and generic. Seems to be an ingredient shortage. Had to switch to Claritin-D.

It's the same formula as in the second photo so same antihistamine.

It never bothered me, but your advice is good for either of the meds.

That could be the problem with my preferred label.

Just take them out of the original packaging, put them in an old prescription bottle with the original label, and throw them in your bags. Unless you're a total dickhead, I can't see anyone on the Mexican side running a chemical test on your pills.

Also, put a giant dildo right on top of your stuff in the same bag so its the first thing they see in the x-ray scan or when they open it to rummage around. Almost guaranteed to stop them dead in their tracks and just let you through.

Make sure that the old prescription container was not for Oxycodone. :nyah:

I laughed out loud!

Many iron supplements are the same color and shape (red and round) as Sudafed. Just take the next logical step....
