Speaking of OR Nira masks....'what is supposed' to happen when you slide the red/predive - green/dive slider? I've been using the mask on a very shallow dive and nothing happens when i slide it back/forth? Very familiar with OTS/AGA....first experience with these (older, very older) OceanReef...

Thanks....He tells me it hit 3000 on his first tank. Second time it briefly showed 3000 but then dropped to 72. It now shows 72 whether or not it's connected to an air source. Thanks for your help....

I'm diving with a friend who has a new Puck computer. Whether attached to a tank or not, the pressure shows 72. Obviously he can't use it until the problem is resolved. Is this a user correctable problem? It's set for PSI and all the other settings seem to be correct....

I'm not sure the word 'cheap' actually exists on Grand Cayman...but I found Sunset House to be reasonable. I had a group there in February and had a great time. There's a selection of rooms from oceanfront/view to dorm room type accomodations, with varying prices. 24 hour a day shore diving...

Just out of curiosity...has anyone heard of 'Chains', a shore dive on the north side. I've done it a couple of time but wondered if anybody else has been there? It involves an anchor chain hanging down the wall....

I'd add a big endorsement to the condo route, especially for a family. You'll get more space (bedrooms, kitchen, etc.) than a hotel room.

It's back to reality after 10 days on Grand Cayman. Stayed at and dove with Sunset House. The hotel is nice, certainly not the Ritz but then we weren't paying Ritz prices. And you can't beat the location, opposite side of town from the cruise ship insanity of 7 Mile Beach, but only a 10-15...
