    Scuba Pro MK25 help

I got both books today. I'm still studying my Cisco CCNA book but I plan to take the test for that cert next weekend if I can so once that is done I am going to start on the reg books. ---------- Post Merged at 06:23 PM ---------- Previous Post was at 06:23 PM ---------- HAHA it's a...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

If McDonalds can get sued for someone spilling their coffee on themselves, I'm not dealing with someone that will want to sue me for them not putting their reg on their tank right and the o-ring blowing out of the tank value or something stupid. Oh, and yeah, I've seen places down here that...

Repair station how to get started (baby steps)

holy crap, I didn't even think about bikes. Park Tool Co. » TW-5 : Ratcheting Over 132in-lb I can probably use my craftsman. I think that goes low enough. If not then park makes a bigger one that goes from 88-500in lbs.

Repair station how to get started (baby steps)

I'm looking at doing the same thing. I've got both books on the way, and I'm looking at some tools. What do you all recommend for a torque wrench?

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

That hurts. HAHA. I'm not even sure I'd want to work on other people's stuff just for the simple fact that this country is so sue happy. I could see someone breaking a strap on their fin while on a dive trip and sueing me because I worked on their regs. Now for my own gear, I'd take as...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

Authorized yes. Up to date and/or responsible, no. I do not know if they used a torque wrench on the reg when they actually serviced it. And like I said, when I brought it in after it came loose the guy stopped eating to fix it for me. It was more of a quick, here you go, it's tight again...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

holy crap, I've already got tracking numbers for both books. Even when I buy something on Amazon it takes a day or so to get the "your item has been shipped" email.

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

Ok, cool. Then at least I know it's not coming loose at all, so it's most likely just that the o-ring was in fact damaged and needs to be replaced. btw, both my books have been shipped. :)

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

Halocline (and all) here is a photo showing where the leak is. Also where the initial problem was and where the reg was basically coming apart when it came loose and the o-ring was bulging out. My plan right now is to have them change the o-ring but going forward I am going to study up and get...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

HAHAHA I never saw that bald patch saying before. As for the manuals, already done. I downloaded them actually before I ordered the books. Right now I'm THINKING about ordering the scubapro tool kit. Seems to have just about everything I'd need except the install and universal tools. But...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

Now that I know there is a DIY section, I think I will join you. haha. :) ---------- Post Merged at 07:36 AM ---------- Previous Post was at 06:30 AM ---------- Cool. I have ordered "THE" two books on regulator repair and maintenance. I'm going to read through those and then eventually...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

I am 100% positive there was no torque wrench used as I was standing there watching him when he fixed it. It was just a T handle type of Allen driver. Right now as I said, there is only a little rocking, so the other thing I was wondering is maybe the o-ring was damaged when it blew out the...

    Scuba Pro MK25 help

Good evening. I've got a small problem with my MK25, and I'm planning on taking it to the dive shop tomorrow but I wanted to get some opinions on it here as well. It started back in May, after I had it serviced I went diving and when I came up from the first dive I could hear some hissing...

    Lauderdale By The Sea

I would like to go back and do some more dives there. I too have only gone out slightly farther than the pier is. Looking at the maps it looks like I was still basically on the first reef. I don't really mind the shallow stuff because I like just taking my time and doing some photography so...

    Lauderdale By The Sea

HAHA. I was thinking of even renting one once you got down here, but yeah, I could see how it might be a problem fitting in the overhead bin. As for only taking it as far as the mooring balls, I was just thinking that it might be a hassle trying to tow it along between a possible wind and the...

    FL Dive Flag Violations Question

True. I guess that part would depend on how major the violation was. although, they sure don't seem to care about proper ID when they send you a ticket for running a red light and all they have is a photo of your car.

    FL Dive Flag Violations Question

I wasn't really asking in this particular instance, but more so just a "how would they know" kind of question. Even further, what if the people they stopped were minors? Say a couple of 13 or 14 year old kids that were diving with no flag? It just seems that they are really trusting the...

    Lauderdale By The Sea

I have a scuba pro that I typically dive with, but both masks have prescription lenses so that really doesn't matter I guess. The new one is a Tusa which I found out do their own prescription services so the mask was $140 compared to $300+ for the scuba pro which was sent out. But after...

Thanks. I used to live on A1A in Hollywood so there I would literally just walk across the street, gear up and walk into the water. We still have a small condo there so we could park and do the same thing but I think there is more to see up here. I def plan to do it again.
