Thanks for the info on shore dives, looking for some boat operators and dive sites that rock. Considering the cathedrials and of course Molokini. Will have two snorklers with us so their needs have to be taken into account T

While I was ther a while back a program was offered to do yor classroom and confined water work her in the states and do your open water dives in Maui. Could save considerable costs as I'm sure the dive shops on the Island are expensive. I did a try scuba there, got certified her in So Cal...

Been reading up on both of these computers. Seems my hose is "too short" for me to read my current computer unless I have "gage reader" lenses on my mask. It looks like the wisdom has larger readout than the cobra, the only thing I dislike is the harder to read Sherwood compass...

Lost one of my Mares Avanti Quatro XL Yellow fins. Third dive of the day at Farnsworth banks and points north. We were at Eagle rock. Strode in gave the DM the OK and off popped my fin. Couldn't dump air fast enough and get down to catch it but saw it sinking as I reached my hand for it...

I tried a rear inflation BC yesterday and no matter how hard I tried, I ended up face down in the water. I usually use a jacket style and have herad that the back inflation unit is really good for trim. Any thoughts on what I can do to keep my face out of the water on the surface. I prefer...

Just got the watch the other day and haven't been in the water with it yet. Looks like it will be an excellent backup device. Like the fact that it gives max and average depth and it can have a depth alarm.

Just got this model, my first UW digital camera. Got tired of the $14.00 throwaways. Has anyone any experience with this camera. Any suggestions on what settings I should use?? I dive So Cal, usually around Catalina so those are the conditions I encounter. Thanx. :D

Diver's weekend at the Long Beach Aquarium, can't make it.. Bit of a drive from SoCal to RI

How long is my question. It generally takes me well over an hour just to drive home from either a beach or boat dive. The there is travel time back to the dock, equipment clean up etc... Would a Hot tub increase DCS chances after this amount of time (2+hrs)??

If there is an issue, how long before you can safely get into a hot tub??

Picnic beach at least has that ramp. Gotta Love Catalina tho. $8.00 to haul your gear to the "park" and back, easy stairs... Or one of the boats from Long Beach. Only thing about beach dives is their cheap....
