Help: Camera flooded, memory card got wet, is photo recovery hopeless?

I can't figure out if this is the right forum for this question, so if not, please feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate. Short story: My housing flooded on my last trip 2 months ago, camera got partially wet including the memory card--it wasn't soaked but some water did get in the...

    FS - Subal ND20 and Nikon D200

If you end up deciding to sell the camera and housing separately, let me know and how much you're asking. My housing flooded and my D200 is toast. The housing can be serviced but not the camera. :) Thanks!

    Dress code at Prima?

Having the 3 with similar names is very confusing, I had to check it a few times just to be sure. But yes, Casa is on 55, and it was very nice--much nicer than I expected and the food was pretty good. I haven't been to either of the other 2.

As I posted, I went to Casa Mission, really nice place. :)

    Cozumel Weather?

We were just there for 10 nights and the weather forecast said the same thing for our visit. We had one day of heavy rain, which lasted most of the day. But the rest of the time it was either sunny/partly cloudy all day or it would rain briefly in the morning or afternoon then turn partly...

    Dress code at Prima?

Well after all that, we didn't go to Prima, we hooked up with some people from SCC and went to Casa Mission instead. I had never been in all my trips to Coz so I'm glad I went, it was very good. I have also eaten at Guido's in the past, very good food!

    Terrific Accommodation on Bonaire

They look nice and the price is good, location is a bit far out of the way for me. But I only see dive facilities on site, not the actual dive op. When we were there in March, we dove with Dive Friends and their 4 locations did not include these villas, although that could have changed. Can you...

    Which all-inclusive?

Another vote for SCC. I've stayed at Hotel Cozumel and Caribe Blu and enjoyed both at the time. But I'm spoiled, older and tired now and I want to be pampered. :) Hotel Cozumel is a budget friendly choice since they always have deals and specials, rooms are nice and the giant pool is wonderful...

    SCC: Web Cam

We were on our balconies at SCC yesterday when the ship pulled up and dropped anchor. Since it was aimed right at us, we were joking that they were planning an attack on the hotel! LOL Glad to know why they are really out there!

    Dress code at Prima?

Thanks everyone! If anyone can remember, or find out, what night it's closed, I would appreciate it! We don't have a phone where we are and we're too lazy to walk up there and find out. :)

    Dress code at Prima?

Hi all, it's been over 5 years since my last visit to Coz and I'm finally here! We're wanting to go to Prima one night for dinner, and I'm wondering about a dress code? All my husband brought are t-shirts, is that okay? Also, is Prima open every day or is there a day it's closed? Thanks so much!

Can you still buy Cipro in Coz w/o seeing a dr there?

Thank you so much Christi, I'm so glad to have an answer to the question I actually asked from someone who is on island and has firsthand information! :)

Can you still buy Cipro in Coz w/o seeing a dr there?

All right fine, you guys win, okay? When I said that, I meant that for my personal experience, TD is something I can get over in a day or 2, a more serious "bacterial infection" is something that makes me violently ill, requiring treatment by a dr and several rounds of antibiotics and generally...

Can you still buy Cipro in Coz w/o seeing a dr there?

Goodness, what an interesting and informative thread I started! I really appreciate the advice and comments from everyone, with a special thanks to Christi for definitively answering my original question. I'm not going to get into my medical background or any other specifics regarding my...

Can you still buy Cipro in Coz w/o seeing a dr there?

I've done a search already and all the pertinent threads on this topic were over a year old. I ran across a few things online that mentioned a new law put into effect last year stating you can't buy Cipro (and many other drugs) anymore in Coz without seeing a dr down there and getting a written...

    San Pedro to Turneffe Is?

I would have to agree that your wife would enjoy San Pedro more as a non-diver, she would be miserably bored if you stayed on Turneffe. You can do day trips from San Pedro to Turneffe, Blue Hole, etc. These trips are all day and more expensive than "local diving" but that way you can have the...

Anyone familiar with connecting through DFW to Cozumel?

I'm glad you decided on an option that works for you. I agree that it will be great peace of mind to fly in, get a good night's rest then head to the airport the next day for VACATION! Terminal D is the best terminal at the DFW airport, there are tons of restaurants, a great wine bar and many...

Anyone familiar with connecting through DFW to Cozumel?

I used to live in Dallas, now live in Seattle and connect through DFW all the time. International flights go out of Terminal D so you will get off your plane, find Skylink and hop on. You may luck out, as I have in the past, and your flight will come in at Terminal D, it just depends on time of...
