Thanks for the report OBX.
I will be going out in the area of the old Traders Resort.
It is a condo now.
**sigh**....
Not much left of the old town now it seems.

OK if anyone is still paying attention to this now 5 day old thread...
It was really frikkin' COLD this morning in Pompano Beach Florida!
It was a frighteningly chilly 53 degrees and windy.
I had to put on a long sleeved shirt with my sandals, tee shirt, and bathing suit before I left for the beach. I did not need to button the LS shirt though, as I was feeling especially manly this morning (I did get my wife's permission to feel manly first of couse as I do not like trouble).
I did turn off the heater in my truck after 3 minutes or so as it was sunny.
We hit the beach to calm seas, heavy surge and 70 degree water.
We caught 3 bugs, 2 were keepers, the viz was lousy on the inside, but opened up on the outside to 30' or a little better.
I tried to take a few pictures, but I think they came out looking like a sandstorm underwater.
My 2 buddies got cold after 75 minutes and booked in as fast as they could trying to get warm.
I was fine with the super cold 70 degree water, again, as I was keeping my manly thing going while submerged.
We popped up on shore at 90 minutes, and hit the warm showers at the oceanfront condo's steam room.
A good day, but much too cold.

Hopes the Saints win today just 25 miles south of where he is sitting with his windows open.

Nice report. I'm working on my manliness too. I dove only a 3 mil suit yesterday in the 73 water. I'm trying to build back to the days in NC when I would still just wear shorts in that water. Its amazing what 5 years in S. FL. can do to your manliness.
