Hello everyone. I am more into snorkeling and sadly not a diver (have always wanted to learn, but $$ prevents me at this time). I am a novice photographer and need some advice. I am taking my teenaged daughter to Grand Cayman in July and we are planning on doing as much snorkeling as we can! I need a good underwater camera for stills and video. I have been reading so many different reviews on all the different choices that my head is spinning! I do not have a lot to spend (hoping to get something decent under $300 or $350 at most) and would greatly appreciate any advice. Does anyone know anything about the SeaLife cameras? Reefmaster and Mini? I've read conflicting reviews.. should I stay away from them? Try them? What about the Olympus Tough Tg-1 or Tg-2 (more than I want to spend, but have read lots of good reviews). My fear is buying something and having it die on me while down there then having nothing at all to record our trip!
Again, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!
Donna
