I am getting ready to head out for a week of diving. I have been using alphagan drops for @ 6 months now. Early Mild glaucoma treatment.

My eye doctor is aware of the trip and has cleared me to go, but with a warning to not do anything abnormally stupid (deep depth, extended dive times, etc). Expected max depth is 70 feet. Mostly 30 - 60 feet. Expected max time is 1 hour per dive.

Anybody aware of any particular contraindications of normal alphagan use concerning vision blurring, etc?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any research on alphagan and diving. You might find the DAN information on diving with glaucoma helpful if you haven't already seen it. If you have additional concerns, you can contact the UPenn hyperbaric team for an evaluation.

Best regards,
DDM
