Thanks for the SAC and nitrox info and your questions.

Not concerned so much about streamlining -- just gear management and "tangles" hassles with an extra hose. Also easier to manage fewer hoses with equipment on the end so that I don't hurt reefs.

Vyper Air allows you to turn off the Wireless Air Integration, and will not nag if that is done.
 
I'd say that generally once people go to wrist computers/compass that they lose the console. That's where you clear up the dangling equipment that could damage the reef.

If you want redundancy get a second computer. You can easily get two computers for less than a AI unit.
