Well, after 11 dives, the SONY powered Elite is showing the low battery at startup but after a few minutes ON the indicator goes away. On the chance that the battery (from eBay) is older than I'd like (no dates marked on them) it was replaced with a fresh Sony (hey.. I have 25 .. uh.. 24 of them).
As a side note, I'm getting really *good* at replacing batteries in the Elite! I wonder why they never put a slight bevel on the cover 'ring seat' to ensure that the o-ring is seated rather than the flat seat they do have?
After all this, I have to say the Elite is tolerating my constant battery changes like a champ.
