Happy new year everyone,

I hope every had a great xmas and new year. I went for my first dive for 2013 a couple of nights ago, it was a hot and the water was 20 degrees. It felt tropical :)

the broad striped anemone fish was protecting eggs. I was lucky to get some shots with the eggs in focus!

Also did a dive at Clifton Gardens. Lucky to find a couple anglerfish and of course lost count of the seahorses!

Thanks.. nothing fancy.. Cannon S95 in standard Cannon housing no strobe or special lenses. the camera can do more than I know how to ask of it. I do "tweek" the exposure and use spot heal to remove some backscatter sometimes. I am too blonde and computer illiterate to do much more than that:blush:

BOP looks like you have had some awesome diving, I love frogfish. I wish we had some frogfish that liked to stay out in the open in Melbourne. The lighting in that nudi shot is awesome! It almost looks like you used a snoot..

Wantonmien I use a Nikon D7000 (in a nauticam housing) with a 60mm macro lens and two d2000 strobes.

I'll bite.. what is a "snoot"

This little Papuan Cuttle was hiding in the kelp

This little scorpionfish was posing in the sponge
