I like em both just fine....but then I live in a great place for either.
Beach diving has the convenience of being affordable (those once a month paychecks made for slim pickings by week 3 sometimes) and easy to access. Many times I've been at work, checked the conditions, sent out a text to see who wants to buddy up, and been in the water by sundown. My only negative about beach diving isn't the walk into the water...it's that slog out of the surf and back to the car...
I love boat dives because they get me to the deep spots and wrecks I can't reach from the beach. Another thought occurred to me just this past weekend while trying to get geared up on a crowded boat in sporty seas: Where else can a 60 year old man maintain his dignity while playing what is essentially Twister on a roller coaster ride?
