Short and sweet post. Give me all your tips that will allow me to be the best scuba-version of myself. 4 pool sessions deep into open water.

Dive, dive, dive as much as you can!

What part of UK?
near stoney cove, probably doing dives near cornwall/plymouth

Dive as much as possible.

My story: i took my first and only cert to completion in a pool. Quite legit in the day.

About 4,000 dives later i did my DM in 10 days and then walked through OWSI.

It’s all about logging bottom time… not buying equipment. Go dive.

Make sure you get weighted properly (read: not overweighted), and practice not moving - hovering in a flat horizontal position.

I think you already have some great advice - bottom time and focus on the fundamentals - bouyancy. You can enjoy your time underwater and still focus on the basics.

Only use fins for propulsion. (Hands are used for swimming, not diving.)
