Bouyancy???!!!! PROBLEM!!!!???

JayMo, Relax, your instructor will (or at least should) work with you to gain control over your buoyancy. Most newly certified divers have a hard time getting this right. My advice would be stop flailing around, calm your mind and body. As you descend, take long slow breaths to retard your descent and as your wetsuit begins to compress, put a puff or two into your BC and wait for your descent to slow. Repeat as necessary.

Bottom line is to relax, listen to your instructor and then dive – dive – dive. It won;t be that long before you will be giving buoyancy control advice to other new divers!:wink:

yes, instructors often add more weight to the student just to keep them down during class... oh-oh, are we confusing you more than you need to be right now? sorry... finish your class first, then we'll fill your head with more questions! :)
