The cavern would be our plan. Maybe a guide is unnecessary, but it’s nice to have someone familiar with a new site, especially one back in a swamp.

A guide is unnecessary. It’s a huge cavern. Don’t go down past around the 130ish foot mark where the shelf extends back and you have a hard overhead. Imo it’s an ow safe cavern. At least that’s how the management see it. Free divers are constantly there.
 
You really don’t need a guide at Buford, but if it makes you more comfortable do so.

After dropping the cavern goes to 130’ after that it’s a smaller cavern to 160
