Traveling to Cancun for a vacation and want a few days of diving. I am looking for reviews of dive sites and charter companies. I have seen mixed reviews on other travel websites but would like some opinions from here as well. Diving with my own gear so rental issues are not a problem

It's been pointed out that these threads are basically cheerleading, so... Rah Rah... :)

My wife and I have done about 50 dives in the Cancun area. We always dive with Alvaro from AlwaysDiving.com. Great guy, knows the area intimately, never more than 6 people.
As far as sites go... pick your poison. You can dive the reefs (most of the Cancun reefs are shallow, 50-60 FSW dives), a couple of WWII Minesweepers (about 80FSW, with generally a bit more current), or head south to the Cenotes.

Thanks for the info! We'd like to go again but go diving this time.
