My brother was looking to get a hat recently and came across some on craigslist in London that were substantialy less expensive than in the states. These were kmc hats in good shape and recent inspections. Are these legit and if so why thousands less?

Be warned... a lot of hats on craigslist and ebay are stolen, and have been registered as stolen with KM.
If you do buy them, you cannot get them serviced.
