You're gonna move all the Californians to Austin?

Austin's already filled to bursting with west coast transplants, ever since the tech industry got established there.

I told Christi that if she didn't give us a super great deal for diving this coming December, I was going to bring Leslie down to be her shop manager.

Leslie is a homeless (supposedly) guy in Austin that will take his picture with your for $20 while he wears his beard, his halter top, hot pants, sometimes a thong, fish net hose etc. He went into one bar and was told to go put a skirt on at least when he was wearing the thong.

I wasn't smart enough to go to Texas A&M and Texas is the only school that accepted me so I went to a small school in Oklahoma so I could get an education. My son and a whole lot of money went to A&M though.

We like to say that there is Austin and the rest of Texas. :D

Leslie in Cozumel? I don't think so. Besides, Leslie is part of the Austin attitude. Heck of a nice guy. Ran for mayor some time ago, didn't make it. He did however, seem sincere about his platform. Wish I could feel the same way with all politicians.

For those of you non-taxans out there that don't get it...Texas A & M and THE University of Texas in Austin are arch rivals :) Those aggies are just a bunch of cow farmers

1) I knew someone whose daughter was a proud grad of the University of Texas El Paso and referred to the campus in the middle of the state as "UTEP Austin."

2) I made the mistake of wearing my Aggie ring to my graduation from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Some people began singing a bellicose song (I think it was "Texas Bite" or some such) and making satanic-appearing hand signs. The metal of my ring started to heat up dangerously.

3) Even in northern New England some of my patients notice and comment on the incongruity of the A&M and UTMB diplomas hanging side-by-side.

Hey...that's nothing to be ashamed of! :) As much as I love the fun of the rivalry between A & M and Texas...I will totally acknowledge that both are very fine schools! Each have their own advantages. ACtually my family is even divided.

I remember my freshman year at UT...back when the big game was still on Thanksgiving Day and Bonfire was a HUGE deal. My cousin was a freshman at A & M so I drove to College Station in my ORANGE VW Bug with longhorn stickers all over it. I parked at her dorm since I was there for the party all weekend. I don't think I have to even explain what my poor little car looked like the morning after the game...by the way, Texas beat A & M that year :) Needless to say that was the LAST time I drove that car to College Station :)

mstevens, A House divided ! One nice thing is when you are a house divided, and your at the UT/A & M game, you can choose to sit or stand ! Then again, my family cheer or yell for both sides. Kind of mixed up, especially since we are Yankee's born and bred. Sue

Was your car actually where you parked it the night before?

Oh you just HUSH UP! We aren't talking about THAT game...haha!

Sue, NO, as a matter of fact, not only was my car not where I parked it...it was upside down and all of the little longhorns were torn off :( and they had shoe polished "Gig'Em" and "Revelie's snack" all over my car :(

So much for me being rebellious and driving THAT car into enemy territory :)

It's funny NOW!

Hahahaha Christi that is a great story!

Some aggie probably confused your car for a girl and tried to snuggle up to it for some lovin!!!!

:):):):):)
