The question seems from an earlier century. In a modern charter boat, the captain can look at the Garmin screen and see a boat at the intended destination. He would often be able to identify which boat, and that would allow him to contact that boat by radio.

I suppose it could happen, but having a big boat show up and then hail you to leave seems unlikely, at least around here.
