Dee...I think the name is fine. They don't all have to be examples of alliteration

I know but why change now? :D

Is there a non-housed DSLR?
There are only two non-housed UW SLRs I know of, and both are 35mm
.
The first is the Nikonos RS which was introduced in 1992 but has been out of production for a few years.

It was big, heavy, expensive and amazing. Pressure proof to 100 meters. Three R-UW AF-Nikkor lenses were available in 28mm/f2.8, the 50mm/f2.8 (a 1:1 macro) and a spectacular 20-35mm/f2.8 zoom.

The second one is is also a 35mm camera, the Subeye . It allows the use of "normal" Nikon SLR lenses over which a variety of ports are mounted, and IIRC even RS lenses can be used with an adapter.
