and DAN't you forget it

I just signed up with DAN today. Appreciate all of the information posted in this thread. I seriously considered V&B through PADI. I don't think you could go wrong either way. PADI has changed their web site recently and I could not re-discover their insurance page. I even did a search using insurance and it still didn't come up.

Anyone have claims with DiveAssure? If so, did they cover costs as promised? What was your experience like?
I've heard good things about them, recently, but have not looked into them closely. There are a couple of LDS's that say it's the best of all, but again, take that for what's it's worth and do plenty of research first!

From what I hear, though, you should be just fine with DAN.

I am trying to analyze different DAN insurance options, is there any particular reason to choose the "Preferred" option for $70? The main difference with the "master" seems to be trip cancelation/interruption options and the higher accident coverage. Higher coverage sounds good, but how much of the coverage do you really need? 125K life time - is it a lot, or a little?

we went with diveassure. a little more expensive for the platinum coverage but you can never be too careful

I went with the master over the prefered. I really am not using anything I would need the prefered plan for. I will probably take another look at the plans if I were going to a foriegn country for a dive trip.
