That thing isn't laying an egg. its attacking whats in that tube.
 
Chuck, any idea of the ID on my friend there? Is it a sarcastic fringehead? I was talking to Clinton yesterday and he said that he remembers seeing one in that area regularly a few years ago...

It IS laying eggs. That's one of the reasons they attack the tube anemones.

:confused: What do you mean Mr. Tribolet, its eating the thing and laying an egg?
 
The white spaghetti-looking stuff is a bundle of eggs. I think Rob's ? was because you can't tell from the picture if it is actually laying eggs at that very moment, or just hanging out next to a pile of eggs.
 
We often see eggs... but I cannot ever recall seeing baby nudis... maybe I'll have to pay closer attention to the small stuff
