Yes that is a Pink Abalone, I live in SoCal & I haven't see one yet consider yourself lucky.

Awesome pics, thanks for posting them....they are getting me crazy excited for OUR MOVE TO SAN DIEGO!!!!! It's official, I will become a Ca Kelp Diver as of January, 2007. Huzzah! Anyone want a snow shovel????

In the meantime, we'll probably try to get in one more charter, but we've been saving money for the -ahem - slight difference in real estate prices...

I expect to see at least a few of you out in SD for a visit/dive.
