Do short men wear more gear?

Well I'm not height or rather vertically challanged but I am horizontally challenged:dork2: and I think most of us carry too much gear:( so I'm gonna start supporting the dive naked movement :crafty:

You know some things once you see you can never forget. I'm going to have to discourage you from starting such a movement. There are too many divers that are horizontally challenged and some things are better left covered.
 
You would think that smaller people would tend to carry less gear because of the weight factor, but at least with men, that is not my observation. On the several dive trips I have taken on commercial boats lately, there seems to be a negative correlation between a man's height and the amount of gear he carries. Is this common, and if so, can anyone suggest a reason for this?
