I'm transitioning to Sidemount from twin backmount also. I'm using a similar rig (backplate & DR rec wing).
I found I needed a 1/8 flat elongated D shape plastic panel in the center area of the wing bolted through plate to retain the wing ,
and I added belt loops on the ends of the wing lobes to prevent tacoing.
The OMS profile btw does a nice job at this.
