Hi all... I need to buy a hood to wear with my drysuit in water that ranges from 40-60 degrees. I've been wearing a hood that is attached to the jacket of my 7mm wetsuit & really I have been quite comfortable in it. What are my options for a stand alone hood? I've seen some that have zippers in the back but that just looks a little S&M creepy to me. What purpose do they serve? What do y'all use & why do you like (or dislike) it?

scubakat,
I dive with a zippered hood, and like it much better then the regular pull over hood. I find it less restrictive and easier to get on and off. If there isn't a lot of current I sometimes do not zipper it.
You can probably tell I don't like hoods, but it is too cold in the northeast not to wear one.

regards,
M
