Does anyone else think this is a disaster in the making?! Shell cannot even get it's testing done without major problems - what's going to happen when they attempt to drill with ice floes coming at them? It's a horrible and horrifying idea - I can envision oil-drenched shores in Alaska when (I don't think there is an 'if' here) they fail and then fail to contain the coming disaster.

Coral reefs protect our shores and this study shows that the more we pollute, the faster these reefs break down - thus we have less protection for the shorelines. Not only that, the habitat for our favorite species is removed as well

While eco-tourism is a wonderful thing, it must be managed in order to effectively protect the species. Too many boats/tourists can have just as deadly an effect as hunting.

The protection of the Goliath Grouper in Florida is a conservation success story. It has taken 30 years to see the rebound - and these fish can live into their 60s! They don't spawn until they are at least 4ft long! Anglers want to start a take again, fortunately scientists are making them wait for a true analysis of the population.

Today the plastic bag ban goes into effect in San Francisco and the fee for other bags. Re-usable bags are truly the way to go. Put several in the car and use them as you need them. Reduce waste and help the planet

The insanity of this situation is mind-boggling. An orca was captured strictly for rehabilitation and is now going to potentially be sent to an entertainment park (I would rather refer to this place as a 'jail'). This is disgusting - please help if you can - and share!
