It’s just looks to be a coil up away from the diver, likely rigged to a more substantial cable out of view but just a guess.

I checked a chart before that came out for how deep that area got, which is not very deep.

My guess is they are doing a pipeline inspection so the umbilical is probably an integrated video, comms, and lighting power cable. It looks too small for gas and hot water.

The Chinese ship is missing an anchor...
