Utila is great inexpensive place....if you go to eat or drink at Jade Seahorse bring a moskito repullent,,,they will just suck on you all day.
I usually do 5 dives a day. But DO NOT dive afternoon unless the dive shop takes only divers rather than students. most boats do morning dives with some advance students, which is fine since they go to good sites..but afternoon is mostly for student divers, where it is shallow and sand and nothing to see. and if you book 2 dives on the afternoon boat, expect to be same dive site!!!

You'll have nothing to worry about....at Deep Blue.........Capt Swin is wonderful...the dive sites...in 2 weeks the only sites we did a 2nd time were the ones we requested....based upon the wind, and conditions....you'll def see some amazing things.....Ask Matt to find you some nudi's......tell him that you expect to see hundreds of them over the course of your stay.! *smile*

Hang out w/ Deep Blue on a dive and you'll see the most amazing small creatures...that most divers probably go years w/out ever seeing.........

Enjoy!

You'll LOVE Deep Blue...and Swin will take great care of you. We were there last year. Went to the North Side every morning. Swin always looks for opportunties to put a smile on your face. He ran across a pod of dolphins while traveling to a site and allowed us to snorkle with them. Wonderful experience to swim with them in the deep blue with no bottom reference!

Be absolutely sure to do a shore dive on the house reef. Unless they built a ramp, it's a bit tricky to get in, but absolutely worth it. We did several dives on the site and loved it each time. Try it at night. It was challenging to keep track of where you are with all of the coral canyons. GREAT dive!

Oh, if you're into taking gifts...Shirley likes Sapphire Gin. :)
