Getting a wetsuit: too many options!

Rather than paying $10/dive for wetsuit rental, I've decided to buy one.

Here's where I will do a lot of diving: Carrib, Hawaii, NC coast.

Would a 3 MM suit be sufficient, or should I get a 5 MM? How different are the brands from each other?

Anything wrong with this setup/brand?

Get a custom made you will not be too dissapointed. I have an old custom made wetsuit and it fits well and takes a beating. The interesting thing is that they are no more expensive in fact they are less expensive for the quality. There are a lot of places to get a good custome made suit just look around.

Here is one I am not too sure about the quality but the material used is awesome.
