I've been diving once to Cozumel and loved it. For my second dive experience, should I go to Grand Cayman or Bonaire? Or anywhere else? Thanks!

Natasha,

Thanks for your reply. Do you recommend a certain hotel, or dive shop to dive with?

Hi Angela,
And by the way, welcome to the scuba board.
Your profile doesn't say where you live. So assumming you're in the US only because you've been to Mexico for your first dive, I think both of your choices would be easy to get to.
I will be in Bonaire in 20 days with 21 other divers going in my group.
I'm sure I'll have a lot more to say after that trip. But as for now, all the investigating I have done, leads me to the Plaza Resort and Toucan dive operator located there in Bonaire.
Go to http://www.plazaresortbonaire and you'll see what I mean.
We also have a group trip planned there for September of this year, and members of this board plan to go.
Let me know what you think.

Hi Angela,

Have to go with Natasha on Bonaire. I am planning my 3rd trip there now. We (2 couples)plan to be there in late July, you are welcome to fall in with us. My preference for hotels is Buddy Dive ( http://www.buddydive.com ). They have the best dollar value I have found, check out their "Dive and Drive" package, as you will want a car. I like the shore diving in Bonaire so I really don't use a dive operator. Just pick up tanks at the hotel, head out and do my own thing. Here is the web address of a great message board on Bonaire. You can find out anything you would like to know about Bonaire. http://www.BonaireTalk.com/newsgroup/messages/board-topics.html One thing about Bonaire that's worth noting, if you are looking for a lot of partying and shopping, Bonaire may not be your place, but if great diving, good food and lovely people are what you are looking for, give Bonaire a try.
