Sam's has 3mm shorties for ~30$ as well, I believe they are branded "Gotcha" or something similar. I have a few friends that bought em and like em just fine.

How far into september / october will the gulf waters stay in the warmer temps?
We do our annual pumpkin carving dive out of Panama City (usually, but last year moved to Morrison) in October every year. According to my dive log, 10/28/02 temp was 68. 10/25/03 temp was 77. Didn't dive in Oct 2004 (college or something like that). Hope that helps. That's quite a variance though from year to year.
