Help Ban Shark Finning forever

Here's a link to petition congress to close some of the loopholes in the ban on shark finning and support the Shark Conservation Act. A dive buddy of mine sent this to me, which he received from one of his other dive buddies, it's a pre-written letter to your state representative that you are welcome to edit and add to. My co-worker (a non-diver) mentioned seeing a tv show about shark finning just after I had sent my letter and she sent one of these letters out as soon as I told her about it.

My greatest ocean conservation interest is the Patagonian Toothfish or "Chilean Sea Bass"
very endangered, horribly devastating by-catch to marine birds and other wildlife. Please "take a pass on Chilean Sea Bass" if you see it on menus or in your local fish market.

Thanks for the info. And as you mentioned the Chilean Sea Bass, I just wanted to put in a pitch for the various Sustainable Seafood Guides you can find and use if you want to make sure you're not contributing to fish depletion

Apparently i've ate Shark fin before =[!!!! Didn't know what it was and apparantly it was in a soup...how awful!
