Don't be in a rush to get wet. There was an experienced diver in my area, not long ago, who jumped in about 135fsw wearing a drysuit. I'm not sure how the story goes, but he forgot to hook up his BC inflator hose, drysuit hose, or turn on his tanks. I'm not positive what. I do know this. He did remember his weight belt and went straight to the bottom. They did recover the body. I tend to take my time and double, triple and quadriple check my gear. That water isn't going anywhere.
 
If it were a race... less than 5 min before I would be on my way to the bottom.

But, I don't like to race. It's supposed to be relaxing.
 
I have the video here that we show to Public Safety Divers how easy it is to be in the water in under 3 minutes from the time the car gets put into park.
They're not even hurrying, either, & everything gets checked.
All it takes is a bit of organization & some practice.
