Electronics Tech on the carrier Oriskany '71-'72

Missile & gunnery officer, Fleet OOD / shipdriver on the nuke cruiser USS California, DLGN36 aka CGN36 '72-76.

I look forward to visiting the Oriskany once it's sunk. The USS California, which I joined while it was still being built, has been scrapped and the reactors buried. Kind of makes a guy feel old.

Way back in the dark ages, when 2AD was still at 'Hood, I was in D 2/8Cav and lived in Copperas Cove.

Hope you get back soon and safe. My wife's family is all around DFW so we get down there quite a bit and I visit my dive instructor in Hillsboro. Stay in touch and maybe we can get wet some time.

Sounds good to me. I am from Dallas so I know Hillsboro pretty well. I was also a Tank Commander in 2AD my first tour at Hood 92 to 94.
My wife is from Limon. We've never dove in Colorado though. Where do you go?
