Wow, I would've thought it to be one of those yellow Pilodictus cats (forgot the common names). This fish is about 90 pounds bigger than the largest blue cat I've ever seen. That's one big fish fry.

Saw one almost that big at Mansfield Dam a few years ago. I was going one way and he (or she) the other.

Back when I was a Kid we often caught 70-80 lbs catfish. We did't use no stink'en poles, yep nuthing like a good 'ol crank phone to find the big ones.

manly approach to catching big catfish...just man vs. beast, no equipment used...find one under a sunken log or ledge, jam your hand down its throat and toss em on the bank...saw it on the Man Show, looks like, um, er...a very sophisticated sport.

Did the participants appear to have close to a full complement of teeth? If they pool all of them together?

I say we should set a trotline deep in the LT river channel on scuba, bait it with palm sized sunfish, wadded up old underwear soaked in chicken guts, etc., then go back later and see what we've got. Send our victims to the surface with lift bags.
