Ok, I had posted a shorter version of this in another thread, but it got moved to the whiners forum. So I'm reposting the new and improved version.
Do you use the "New Posts" feature to surf ScubaBoard? Do you wish you could turn off some of the forums from this search? Well good news, you can!
Instead of clicking "New Posts" paste the following into your address bar (I highly recommend creating a bookmark/favorites for your new search address):
http://www.scubaboard.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=
Then after the '=' add the numbers to the forums you would like to exclude from the search in a comma separated list. For example, to search all forums except Whine & Cheeze, you would use the following:
http://www.scubaboard.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=300
Or to search everything but Whine & Cheeze and the testing forum, use:
http://www.scubaboard.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=300,164
Unfortunatly, this little trick wont cull out the subforums under a superforum. So if you want to, for example, get rid of all the stuff in Non-Diving Related Stuff, you'll have to exclude it as well as the subforums under it.
I know you're thinking, "Wow, what a great way to search James, but how do I know the numbers for the forums?" Well worry not, I'm providing a list at the bottom of this message! I've taken the liberty of not listing the forums that are opt-in such as singles and B2B, if you don't want to search on those why did you opt-in in the first place?
And now for your reading pleasure, the list (I apologize for the ....'s but the software insists on stripping out my spaces and messing up the formatting.):
