Jovana,

Not sure if you can call it a factory, fact is that in general they have large IDC classes, most of the time more than 10 candidates. Similar as Buddha View.

Both shops have good Course Directors though.

If you're interested in smaller classes, they're available as well, check out http://www.planet-scuba.net and their Koh Tao pages.

If you want a quality course, it's not always in the financial gains, you want to make sure that you get the best value for money, even if that sometimes means paying a bit more.

When you have 10 or more students, you start to fall through the cracks. Don't worry about discounts. Not worth it, and you will find that those discounts are not all that great in the end.

I heartily recommend Koh tao for Doing your IDC, but go there, meet the people conducting the course. You will find some people do quite well teaching 10 students, you will find some Course Directors have problems teaching 3. Are they busy running a resort at the same time as a dive school at the same time as an IDC. You will not get much of their eattention in that case.

There are plenty of places to choose from on Koh Tao, All the IDC's run on the same schedule, so go a few days or week before they start, meet your CD and see how things feel.

Bans has a good IDC program, the Course director there is very good. However the schools run with very large ratio's typically 8:1 and even 12:1 which is shocking. But they are the biggest, which doesn't always represent the best.

Find a school that gives you choices, PADI and SSI along with beach access and rooms close to the dive school so you don't have to walk everywhere or taxi about.
