I'd like to nominate Augustus Siebe as possibly the most legendary diver of all time.
 
As the person that first inspired me to say the words "I want to be a diver", I have to nominate Ursula Andrews.

When she walked up that beach in James Bonds Dr No, she became a legend in my mind.

Just thinking about that knife strapped to her leg gives me goosebumps to this day.
