My laptop doesn't have a disk drive. I am looking for a VT3 OceanLog download for windows7. Anyone know if the version meant for Vista is compatible with win7?

i have win7 32 and 64 bit running with no issues. Just download the usb driver first, reboot, then install oceanlog.

They are "close-enough" platforms that you shouldn't have any problem.

Thanks for the help. I emailed Oceanic tech support, and received this email. Included are links for the win7 version. :vintagediver:

A new revision of the OceanLog 2.x program, Version 2.2.7, will soon be posted to our website for free download. This revision adds Windows 7 compatibility, and provides a few feature upgrades as well. If you would like to install OceanLog 2.2.7 before it is posted to the web, you can use the following link:

Note that it maybe necessary to download this file using another browser than Internet Explorer, as we have had a few reports of difficulty downloading with IE. However, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and other browsers do not appear to have this problem. We are currently working on the IE issue.
The existing USB drivers on our software page, Oceanic Worldwide - Owner Services - Software, should be compatible with Windows 7. Note that there are 32-bit and 64-bit versions of these drivers available (labeled for use with Windows XP and Windows Vista, but they will also work with Windows 7); make sure you download the correct driver version for your PC.
