Read the description of the dry season and the wet season on the Colombia Dive Adventures website:
I have now been twice in July, 2021 and 2023. I am going back in March of 2025.

Make sure you have the experience in applicable environments to maximally enjoy this trip, Galapagos, Cocos, Revillagigdos...

I am comfortable in the north atlantic, although I don't dive it alot lately. I'll check out that link, thank you!

Hammerheads-> January February
Better conditions more fish wet season
Transition months depends on the year with el ninjo more galapagos less hammers
The guide will try to find hammers in the wet season they will be far and deep and a bit of a waste of time there is plenty more to see but they are victims of their own marketing

more animals in jan/feb but less visibility because of plancton (reason why animals are there)
water is colder and more chances to see the "ondontaspis ferox"...

more visibility and silky sharks in summer... and the water will be warmer

we have now "el nino", thus much warmer sea temperatures, so who knows....
