I saw this a few days ago on the news but never saw any other updates or reports. Hope there was a rescue, but unfortunately no other info to be found on my end.


A search is underway for a missing diver off the coast of Louisiana. Clay Byron, a white male, was last spotted near an offshore rig close to Ship Shoal, south of Terrebonne Parish. Byron was wearing a black wetsuit, blue long-sleeve shirt, and a black and gray buoyancy compensator.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Coast Guard at 504-365-2209.

Just found on facebook there was a recovery. The diver was at ship shoal 226, and sits in 180' of water. RIP

Old thread. I haven't been on here in a long time. He was 187' on bottom when our team recovered him. We brought him to Port Fourchon (Fourchon PD and Lafourche Coroner) so he could go home to his family. I can't seem to post links so like us on Facebook and support out missions.
