My first dive in cold water

We were both wearing full 3MM wet suits plus a hood. It helped a lot, but it was still cold for us.

Sounds like you are 7mm people :)

A 3mm suit is what I wher winfsurfing when I hope I don't get wet. When the water is warm around here (40's and up) I wear a 7mm wet suit for the mobility. When it's cold (<=36 F), like now, until it starts to warm in June I'll wear my dry suit. I learnt that a couple of weeks ago when the water was 34 F the air about 28 F I dove wet and changed out of the farmer John in the shower. Luckily I only live about 10km away from the dive site.
