New Aqualung Icelandic 7mm semidry suit.

Okay I just received my semidry suit and was wondering if I can trim the neoprene neck seal? I comes up approximately 2.5 inches past my neck and would like to trim it if possible. contacting Aqualung is like pulling teeth. Any suggestions on whether I should or can do this is appreciated.

Can you fold it down on itself like a drysuit neck seal?

The semidry suits I know, you fold the neoprene neck seal so the smooth side is folded inside against the skin to help prevent water from leaking in.
