Question O2 tank pressure check gauge

Hi, I would like to check if it’s safe to use a regular tank pressure gauge to check pressure of O2 tanks. I have been typically using the transmitter mounted on my cleaned O2 first stage.

I've always used one on mine. With O2 you know you should be opening the valve very slowly anyway to avoid slamming the gauge, seat, risking particle impingement, etc.?
If you wanted to, you could remove the gauge I suppose and clean the fitting and put a Viton DIN o-ring on it. BUT, if you went this route you'd, in theory, have to do this every time you used it.
It's not practical and not necessary. Don't dip in vaseline or lube it with motor oil. Put a Viton DIN o-ring on it and it'll be fine.
You do know that your "O2 clean" first stage is only clean internally right? And you "contaminate" the valve every time you take it off and put it back on?
And that you can't internally clean a gauge without ruining it?

I even put together an adaptor so that I can use that same DIN tank pressure checker on my K-bottles of O2.

Ashcroft Industrial will sell you a 3000 psi oxygen cleaned gauge. $127 via Granger. You’ll have to build the adapters to connect it to your tank. Not saying it is necessary, but you can get this if you think you want it.
