I'll be visiting Oakland the first week of November and would like to know of any good dive sites in the area. Suggestions?

Most of us folks living in the Bay Area dive in Monterey....(a bit over two hours away from Oakland)
Some folks dive up around Sonoma, but I'm not familiar with any of those sites.
Presuming you are familiar with cold water diving and have enough experience, perhaps you'd like to dive a boat in Monterey...They know the good sites, and I've liked the boat dives I've done there.
Nice shore dives include Breakwater, Mcabee, Lovers.

I'll be out there next month too and plan on diving. My father just moved from Monterey up to San Fran. While San Fran. is a blast...I sure do miss Monterey like CRAZY.
