Have the instructor look at your "form" on how you are kicking. You may not be getting the full thrust out of the fins with minimal effort. Then again, the fins might be junk also.....

Glad you did well today. Relax and take your time. If the instructor is going to quickly, let them know...

Thanks so much for the answer you gave! Great detail! I can do the mask clearing..done it when wasn't asked to. I think I got panicky when I had to show him it.
It was only Him and I diving. Since I was the only open water person out there today.

And 300bar...it was the instructor hahaha! I wanted the snorkel on my mask...so i know if it falls off...but he took it off...and well put it in my shorty...I told him it would come out but nooo he was like..it wont...bahhh humbug :p Forked out another 20 quid! Sighhh!!! :p Wicked fun instructor though...acts a tad crazy!!

Buoyancy control comes with practice and you'll feel a lot more comfortable next week :)
